They told me they’d only recently been married. I asked if it was an arranged marriage or a “love marriage.” He answered: “a love marriage.” I asked where they met, and he said: “the telephone.” He then told me that he never actually saw her before the day of their wedding.
"So when did you fall in love?" I asked.
"The third phone call," he said.

no one tells you that your twenties are gonna be like drinking juice straight from the jug because you have no clean cups and listening to a boy band that is not aimed at your particular demographic and filling the void with lipstick and cheap thrills

"I am very lucky with Brad. He is a real gentleman, but he is also a real man’s man. He’s got the wonderful balance of being an extraordinary, great, loving father, a very, very intelligent man and physically he’s a real man." – Angelina Jolie

"One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom. She’s such a great mom. Oh, man, I’m so happy to have her. With a partner like Angie, I know that when I’m working, the kids are happy, safe, and prospering. And when Angie’s working, she knows she has the same." – Brad Pitt

"I’m still a bad girl. I still have that side of me. It’s just in its place now. It belongs to Brad—or our adventures." – Angelina Jolie

"She’s still a bad girl, delightfully so. It’s not for public consumption." – Brad Pitt

"You get together and you’re two individuals and you feel inspired by each other, you challenge each other, you complement each other, drive each other beautifully crazy. After all these years, we have history—and when you have history with somebody, you’re friends in such a very real, deep way that there’s such a comfort, and an ease, and a deep love that comes from having been through quite a lot together." –Angelina Jolie

Yoko Ono
A Hole, 2009
Glass and frame on base
40 x 30 cm
Text inscribed at bottom of piece: A HOLE GO TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GLASS AND SEE THROUGH THE HOLE.

When I first got into The Beatles, like most people, I automatically hated Yoko and blamed her for breaking them up. Even when I realised it wasn’t her fault at all, I was never interested in her as a human being or an artist. Then I saw a documentary where she spoke about her artwork and it changed my views on her completely I finally realised she was an intelligent human being. This is the glass from The Dakota, the night John Lennon was shot. The concept behind this artwork is that if you stand at it face on, you are the murderer. If you stand behind it, you are the victim. From then on, I never doubted Yoko for a second. That just blew my mind.

Yoko Ono was an amazing artist before she had any relation to the Beatles. It’s a shame she’s often only recognized for her relationship with John Lennon, and often vilified for things that weren’t her fault.
